Joe Woods was appointed to the Harford County Council in mid 2009 after the passing of Ms Roni Chenowith. Joe has had some challenging and demanding times since being appointed. While serving on the Harford County Council Joe was running a small business in the county and serving as the Chief of the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company. During this time Joe was able to work with members of our communities to preserve and protect our conservative and rural areas. He had meetings with community members in Abingdon and Fallston to work out road, traffic, and zoning issues. Joe voted to lower taxes since being appointed and voted to cut county spending. His conservative actions helped the county achieve the AAA bond rating for the first time ever. Joe was the first council member to ever meet with county employees and departments to learn their jobs. He did this so he could have a better understanding of their role in Harford County and how his decisions will affect the citizens of Harford County. Joe got a front seat view of what our county road crews do when he volunteered to drive a county snow plow for 57 ½ hours during the February blizzard. This year Joe Woods will be running his first ever campaign for election. We are asking for your help. The next council will be facing challenging issues like the future of our fire and emergency medical services, property use and taxes, and the master plan of Harford County. We need tested and proven leaders like Councilman Joe Woods who are known for listening to our needs and concerns. Joe has proven himself to be a leader who listens to the needs of our county and he needs your help stay in office where we need him. Please look over this information. We are looking for helpers, yard sign locations, and of course you’re VOTE.
